"At the bottom of a basement in an old industrial warehouse sat an old computer, and on it a corrupted hard disk drive, barely intact. This was the start of something I had not known before. Something forgotten and inciting, but far from beautiful. I knew I had to explore this place, and found solace in these harsh noises and ambient soundscapes I simultaneously created and discovered. Nothing in here but old crumbling landscapes and bits of code, but there's enough intact to truly become enveloped in a new world.
This lengthy EP was the result of stress, massive amounts of anxiety, crushing pressure from the hyper-fast technologically connected world around me, a longing for the past, and wanting to escape to a snowy digital landscape. This is far from an escape, but it was where I needed to go."
